Elance is a Web-based company that provides a virtual marketplace for professional freelance agencies and individuals from various fields, such as marketing, advertising, writing and editing, source coding, Web design and software development. Although Elance is a popular trading place for skills and projects, it may not be an ideal freelancing community for everyone; deleting your Elance membership is quick and straightforward. 

 Instructions 
1 Sign in to your Elance account. 
2 Click "Provide Services," then "Membership." 
 3 Click "Edit Membership Plan," then "Cancel Membership." Your account is now closed.
